cigarette in a park

sitting down on a bench
for a cigarette on the way home
i was wondering how long
before someone asks me forone

the only question was when and who
as for the when - before i could finish my own
as for the who - a pair of local kids of course
from a local minority group

older sister, with younger brother
the sister assured me, that she is 16
however this doesn't change a thing for me
no parents permission - no cigarettes

after they left pretty upset another bunch came up to me
i was quite surprised
to try so fast after seeing the others failure
however maybe they think
since they are not minority - i would give to them
yeah sure, like that matters to me

but instead they had an entirely different question
all they wanted was to know what the other kids wanted
should i tell?

they were now happily nodding
just as they expected
so off the three girls went
discussing how lowly the other kids are
noticeably proud of themselves
